This photo essay that imagines life through the eyes of Carmela, who is nearly blind, and what’s left of her vision is spent on seeing things that aren’t there. The series aims to visualize what she sees or doesn't see, while noticing the extraordinary in the crevices of the everyday ordinary. Shot in Belgium, around Carmela's nursing home, the photos vacillate between reality, imaginary, and something wonderful in between. Long-term personal project featured in It’s Nice That.
